Lindsay is a former
small business owner in the restaurant industry and a community advocate.
Spending her formidable years in Oklahoma City, Lindsay had the opportunity to
live in Madison, Wisconsin during high school where her interest in the food
industry, travel, and different cultures were sparked. After a short time
living in Colorado post high school, Lindsay returned to her roots in Oklahoma
to achieve her degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration from Oklahoma
State University. It was during her time in the program that she met and
married her husband who was born and raised in Pottawatomie County. His job in
the family business brought them back to Shawnee where they have lived for the
last 13 years.
Over the years,
Lindsay has maintained her love of feeding people through raising her three,
now school-aged, children, leading in civic organizations, as the
sole-proprietor of a catering company in Shawnee, and most recently as the
assistant director of Community Market of Pottawatomie County, a Regional Food
Bank of Oklahoma Food and Resource Center.
